MacAdam is the head of the diving team sent to retrieve what appears to be a skin of a lycanthrope in a river.
He jogged Anita's memory about the Mad Magician, who specialized in leaving magical booby traps. Such as one where the skin of an animal would attach itself to a human the moment he/she touched it. It took a witch to remove it again. One man had the misfortune to have the skin attach to his face. He ended up suffocating and dying. This occurred in the 1970s.
